Reji K. Joseph is an academic currently based in New Delhi. Reji did undergraduate studies from St. George’s School, Parathode and Pavanatma College, Murickassery, Kerala. He graduated from Bangalore University and completed Master’s in International Relations from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala. Reji did M.Phil. in Applied Economics from the Centre for Development Studies, Thiruvananthapuram. Thereafter, he received a Ph.D. degree in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Reji started his career at Centre for Development and Human Rights (CDHR), New Delhi.
Then he moved to Centre for WTO Studies in Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) and Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS). In 2012, Reji joined the School of International Studies of Central University of Gujarat (CUG) where he taught International Political Economy course for three years. He joined the Institute for Studies in Industrial Development (ISID) in 2015.
The research and writings of Reji have been mostly on issues of international political economy and science, technology and development. Joseph has published a book on Indian Pharmaceutical Industry – ‘Pharmaceutical Industry and Public Policy in Post-Reform India’, with Routledge.
He is married to Smitha Jose and has two children – Sandra and Milan. His parents are Joseph and Eliyamma who live in Kollappally, near Pala, Kerala. Reji has a brother and a sister.
